CABANATUAN CITY – An unidentified woman was shot dead by a motorcycle riding suspect in Purok Acacia, Barangay Pangatian here at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police are still conducting investigation as to the identity of the victim who was estimated to be about 28 years old.
A dragnet operation has also been set for the arrest of the gunman who was described as wearing black and red jacket and pants.
Police said the victim was “walking by the road shoulder when the killer suddenly arrived, and alighted then shot the victim once with the use of a short firearm.“
It was the second daytime gun attack in Nueva Ecija in three days. On Dec. 7, Efren Nicolas, 59, was gunned down by riding–in–tandem suspects in front of other farmers in Barangay Sto. Cristo, San Antonio town.
