CABANATUAN CITY – A female vendor who just regained freedom through plea bargaining on drug trafficking charges was rearrested after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover policeman in Barangay Lourdes here at about 8:20 p.m. Thursday.
Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito, head of the Nueva Ecija police drug enforcement unit, identified the suspect as Lorna Hamolin, 41, resident of Purok 1, Barangay MS Garcia this city.
“Another 14 pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu and said buy-bust marked money were confiscated/recovered from her control and possession during the body search,” Desamito reported.
With estimated volume of 9.1 grams, the haul is pegged at P61,880 per the Dangerous Drugs Board basis of computation, police added.
Police reported that the suspect has been jailed for similar offence but was released last March 2021 after getting a shorter term after pleading guilty for a lower offense.
