MABALACAT, Pampanga — An unidentified suspect brutally killed a 62-year-old widower in his own house at Barangay Mabiga, here, on Saturday, police said.

Supt. Johanna Ponseca-Rosales, Pampanga police information chief and head of the Police Community Relations (PCR), identified the victim as Enrique Bundalian of 135 Casmor Subd., Mabiga.

Rosales said the motive could be robbery as an undermined amount of cash had been allegedly taken from Bundalian after he was stabbed to death.

Rosales said the suspect is a female who has yet to be named by police investigators.

“She is chubby and her aged is between 25 to 30 years old,” said Rosales in describing the suspect. She added that the suspect immediately fled after killing the widower at about 12:30 p.m.

In a phone interview on Sunday, Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales ordered the police to “identify and arrest the suspect within 48 hours.”

He added that he was informed by Supt. Rodney Baloyo, town police chief, that the investigation was still going on as of press time.

“I expect swift and precise action to solve the senseless murder,” said Morales.
