Even before the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991, I had already devoted myself to writing about modern-day messages conveyed mostly by the Blessed Mother thru a growing number of mystics.
This was after I came to the possession (this was before the age of the internet) of enough good and reliable materials by chance or by design.
That was over two decades ago and some readers must have by now gotten tired waiting for the prophesied apocalyptic events and lumbered on with life as if they’d wake up to routine each time the sun rose.
But remember that in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal when the Blessed Virgin warned about another war (World War I was still in progress at that time), that war which turned out to be WWII went full blown in 1942, or 25 years later.
It is known that the last earth-wide war was what she had warned about, because she also had said the event was to be preceded by a light in the sky as a warning, and that light came in 1937 seen over much of Europe and described by befuddled scientists as an unusual case of aurora borealis.
In our times, there have been prophecies that occurred somewhat immediately, but these were very localized, such as the Genocide in Rwanda in 1994 or the natural disasters that happened in specific areas in the world as warned by visionary Pedro Regis of Brazil.
But the bigger apocalyptic warnings – whose scope is worldwide and which were the vortex of my articles even before Mt. Pinatubo’s eruption -haven’t happened full blown yet. What I now pick up from the mystics is that the prophesied events would be so unprecedented that God has extended the time for mankind to grab some grace for conversion.
In our times, the warnings were first conveyed in 1962 in the Blessed Virgin’s apparitions in Garabandal, Spain.
Later apparitions in Akita, Japan in 1972 and the still on-going apparitions to the Medjugorje visionaries that started in 1981, repeated these caveats. Now it’s 2013 and the world, by and large, continues to wake up to undramatic mornings.
Alas, not all is as usual. I once asked readers to search “fidockave” on youtube.com for a splendid compilation of news videos of abnormalities in the world. Now there’s another series of video compilations on youtube of the same vein. Search “signs of change”, then you might just get convinced about what one of the visionaries of Medjugorje said last year: the world tribulation’s slip has just started to show.
Having said so much, let me share with readers the last message from the Blessed Virgin Mary through one of the Medjugorje visionaries. Through Mirjana, the Blessed Mother said the following last June 2:
“Dear children, in this restless time, anew I am calling you to set out after my Son – to follow Him. I know of the pain, suffering and difficulties, but in my Son you will find rest; in Him you will find peace and salvation.
“My children, do not forget that my Son redeemed you by His Cross and enabled you, anew, to be children of God; to be able to, anew, call the Heavenly Father, ‘Father’. To be worthy of the Father, love and forgive, because your Father is love and forgiveness.
“Pray and fast, because that is the way to your purification, it is the way of coming to know and becoming cognizant of the Heavenly Father. When you become cognizant of the Father, you will comprehend that He is all you need.
“I, as a mother, desire my children to be in a community of one single people where the Word of God is listened to and carried out. Therefore, my children, set out after my Son. Be one with Him. Be God’s children. Love your shepherds as my Son loved them when He called them to serve you. Thank you.”
