Access to clean, potable water is within reach thru the auspices of Water of Life Project of Rotary Club Makati South (RCMS), a project close to the heart of incumbent Vice Mayor and 2022 Mayoralty front runner Jimmy Lazatin, who pushed for the pumps to be located in remote barangays in the City of San Fernando.

For this 3rd installment of the project, ten (10) sets of water pumps were delivered and completely installed in several barangays in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga thru the Office of the City Vice Mayor Lazatin.

This time, the Water of Life Project benefitted residents from Barangays Alasas, Calulut, Del Carmen, San Juan, Magliman, Maimpis, Quebiawan and San Nicolas, who were elated with the gift of accessible and clean water source for their communities.

“Potable water is basic and should be accessible to all.” Lazatin added, “our city is fortunate to be the recipient of this life changing project. We are grateful to Rotary Club of Makati South (RCMS) for the gift of clean water to our fellow Fernandinos. Water of Life Project changes lives. These water pumps change how our communities live. Our people are now provided a comfort most of us take for granted – easier access to clean and safe drinking water”

RCMS Immediate Past President Lito Panlilio and current President Steven Carlos led the turnover of water pumps together with VM Jimmy Lazatin who witnessed the pumps fully functional and actually being used.

The City of San Fernando still has a significant area where access to potable water is a challenge. This project benefits the poorest of the poor sector who cannot afford to avail of the services of the Local Water District.

This continuing project helps Fernandinos gain easier access to clean water, and with Jimmy Lazatin bent on helping provide this service to Fernandinos, expect more barangays receiving water pumps to benefit communities with little or no access to water.
