Wanted in Zambales nabbed in Masbate

SAN FELIPE, Zambales – After months of hiding from the police, the No. 3 Most Wanted Person of this town was arrested by operatives of the Masbate police.

Reports reaching the San Felipe Municipal Police Station said that at about 2:20 p.m. of Dec. 7, 2018, operatives of the Milagros (Masbate) police station led by Chief Inspector Rodel C. Arevalo arrested suspect John Fuentes y Oliva, 26, of Barangay Bonbon, Milagros.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Rape with Homicide docketed under criminal case No. 11410-01 issued by Presiding Judge Consuelo Amog–Bocar of RTC Branch71, Iba, Zambales dated April 16, 2018.

Report said the suspect went into hiding after the brutal rape and slay of a 16-year-old girl in April 2018 in San Felipe, Zambales.

During the conduct of body search conducted by PO3 Mar A. Mortel in the presence of barangay officials led by chairman Freddie A. Bolivar and kagawads Jailito Fernan and Menandro Dela Cruz, the suspect yielded two heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet of shabu, P400 in cash, two lighters, one set of playing cards, and a sheet of paper with written address.

The suspect is now under the custody of Masbate Municipal Police Station.
