OLONGAPO CITY – A man wanted for three counts of rape in Pampanga was arrested here by the city police after applying for a police clearance Thursday.
Acting city police director Col. Jeric Villanueva identified the arrested suspect as Joel Mananis y Ilumba, 42, of Barangay Sto. Tomas, Subic, Zambales and listed as one of the “top most wanted person in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.”
Mananis was are applying for a National Police Clearance when records showed a pending alias warrant of arrest in his name for three counts of rape under Criminal Case Nos. R-ANG-18-01818-CR to R-ANG-18-01820-CR issued by Presiding Judge Maria Angelica T. Paras- Quiambao RTC Branch 59 Angeles City dated February 8, 2019 with no bail recommended.
Congratulating the city police force, Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. Deleon said the arrest showed “how vital the National PoliceClearance is, it helps us catch criminals that are hiding.”
