CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Seven families that were relocated in Barangay San Jose were finally given their land titles in a simple ceremony at the vice mayor’s office here last week.
The seven families were the beneficiaries of the Lahar Free Corp. (LFC) owned by the family of Vice Mayor Jaime “Jimmy” T. Lazatin that were initially given certificatesof ownership for the houses which were built by the corporation on their relocation site last August 11, 2014.
Last Wednesday, Transfer Certificates of Titles (TCTs) for their lots were awarded to them by Lazatin assisted by LFC legal counsel Atty. Gener C. Endona and San Jose Barangay Captain Loreto “Boy” Tumang.
The beneficiaries were Erwin and Agnes Samson for a 36-square-meter lot, Jerry and Irene Sangcap for 37 square meters, Linda Balaquiao for 38 square meters, Raymond and Alma Umali for 63 squaremeters, Rogelio and Evelyn Leynes for 120 square meters, Rizaldy and Analiza Gonzales for 74 square meters, and Jorey and Perlie Balagtas for a 55 square meter lot.
Raymond Umali, whose wife Alma works as an OFW in Tel Aviv, Israel, expressed hisgratitude to the LFC as well as Lazatin. “Maraming salamat po,” he said.
Balaquiao, a widow, who was emotional during the awarding of certificates of ownership last August, was all smiles this time around as she thanked Lazatin for giving her a land title.
For his part, Lazatin said the awarding of TCT to the family-beneficiaries is a gift from his family that comes from the heart and not because he is the vice mayor but because the Lazatin family is fair and truly help the people.
