The father is a former Senate president and presidential also-ran. The mother, a sitting senator. The daughter, a seated congresswoman. The son, secretary of public works and highways. To the Villars, entitlement appears to be a family heirloom. Aye, entitlement is verily in their genetic code.
So, it follows that even in so pedestrian, read: commonplace, a concern as a traffic light, the Villars have to be privileged, treated above all others.
Proof positive of which is this traffic light put up by the DPWH along a stretch of MacArthur Highway in Barangay San Agustin, City of San Fernando, crossing to the Vista Mall Parking Annex on the east and the mall itself on the west. Or haven’t you heard that Vista Mall is a part of the Villar conglomerate?
