MABALACAT, Pampanga – Good deeds beget good deeds.

With that, Barangay Captain Davidson David of San Joaquin on Friday turned over in full the P20,000 educational assistance to his elementary public school.

Last Monday, Pampanga First District Rep. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin handed over P2 million educational grants to 27 village chiefs here.

“We just want to show our beloved congressman that we don’t put to waste his effort to help the poor people through educational assistance,” said David.

He and San Joaquin Barangay Secretary Ed Manarang gave a check worth P20,000 to Richard Bronola, principal of the San Joaquin Public Elementary School, during a simple ceremony at the school’s covered court.

Bronola, in his speech, thanked David for his contribution “which makes students very happy.”
He added that the financial assistance would be a “big help now that the ‘no collection policy’ has been strictly imposed.”

Bronola disclosed that some 756 students would benefit from the assistance coming from David.

“We hope that more public officials will imitate David and Lazatin for the benefit of poor but deserving students,” he said.
