SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan — A barangay chairman was shot to death by two still unidentified suspects in Barangay Buliran here on June 30. Police identified the victim as Marvin Avendaño y Villa Señor, 48, barangay captain of San Jose.
Report said at about 9:50 p.m. the San Miguel Municipal Police Station received a phone call from a concerned citizen that a shooting incident transpired in Barangay Buliran.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was about to go home from a birthday party, driving his Nissan Navara with plate no. ABJ 5205 when two unidentified suspects standing on the side of the road shot the victim several times and fled to an undetermined direction.
One of the suspects was seen wearing a black jacket and the other a camouflage jacket. Police are still conducting investigation as to the motive of killing and identity of
the suspects.
