PO3 Erwin Ramil, Orion police investigator, said Alex Dungca, 40, barangay chairman of San Jose in Balanga City, sustained body and head injuries and was rushed to the Bataan General Hospital where he died after a few
minutes.
Police said Dungca was travelling along the highway heading towards the direction of Limay, Bataan from this city at around 9:40 p.m. when his motorcycle was hit at the rear portion by an unknown vehicle.
“May tama sa puwitan ang motorsiklo kaya posibleng nabangga ng isang sasakyan. Posible ring humampas sa puno ng acacia ang biktima dahil inabutan namin siyang nakadapa sa tabi ng puno,” Ramil said.
The victim’s mother Lilia Dungca, 76, and uncle Armando Villegas, 61, expressed the wish that whoever caused his death be brave enough to face them.
“King sino man ang may kagagawan nito sa anak ko, sana magsadya ka dito,” the mother said.
“Kung merong nakakita sa pangyayari, mangyari lamang na makipag-ugnayan sa amin. Sa nakabangga, makonsensiya sana at magkaroon ng takot sa Diyos para mabigyan ng hustisya ang pamangkin ko,” the uncle said.
Villegas said the suspect should not have abandoned his nephew and brought him to the hospital. “Kung natatakot siya sa mga tao sa paligid, dapat nagreport siya diretso sa pulis,” he said.
Police said investigation was ongoing.
