CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – In accordance to the post-residency return service program of the Department of Health (DOH), Acting Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda sent off 17 new doctors to the 11 public hospitals of the province.
Among the 17, four are Anaesthesiologists; five are Pediatricians; and eight are Internal Medicine practitioners.
They underwent residency training at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital (JBLMRH), led by Chief Dr. Monserrat Chichioco.
Vice Gov. Pineda commended the intensive efforts of the national government to improve health services.
According to him, this added manpower to the 10 district and one provincial hospitals will assure the maintenance of health services for Kapampangans.
He then also reminded the new doctors to exert “maximum tolerance” when it comes to patients.
Also attending the signing of Memorandum of Agreement were DOG Regional Dir. III Dr. Cesar Cassion,, Sangguniangan members, Provincial Administrator Atty. Jun Andres Pangilinan Jr., Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, Chief of Hospitals and staff , Dr. Alfonso Danac, among others.
