JAEN, Nueva Ecija – An “ihaw-ihaw” vendor in Taguig City who went home to Barangay San Pablo here upon contracting the illness died of Covid-19 on Thursday, July 23.
He was the seventh patient to die of the 154 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease in Nueva Ecija, of whom 75 have so far recovered.
“Kasama na po ng ating Poong Lumikha si Jaen Patient #7,” said the local government as it called people to pray for the safety of the family of the deceased.
“Isama din po natin sa ating mga palangin na sana ay maging maayos at maganda ang resulta ng gagawing swab test sa pamilya ni Patient #7,” the LGU added.
The 56-year-old man, tagged as Nueva Ecija’s Patient 144 was admitted at the Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center where he subsequently died.
The provincial government shouldered the cost of cremation that was immediately conducted, according to the Nueva Ecija inter-agency task force.
