BALANGA CITY — Gov. Albert Garcia on Tuesday announced that vaccination against the coronavirus disease of those under the pediatric population or those 12 to 17 years old without comorbidities starts in Bataan Wednesday, Nov. 3.

This, after the ceremonial inoculation of those of the same age but with comorbidities took place on Oct. 29. Vaccination of those under this priority group A3 (pediatric patients) will continue on Nov. 5.

For the vaccination on Wednesday, the parent should present the birth certificate of the child to be inoculated plus a valid identification each of the child and the parent.

In the absence of a birth certificate, other documents like baptismal certificate, insurance policies, health membership, life plan, memorial plan, school ID and PhilHealth, GSIS, SSS cards and other documents showing the relationship of the child and the parent can be shown.

A special power of attorney is required for those other than the parent accompanying the child.

The governor said that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available for the pediatric population.

Maraming salamat  at ibayong pag-iingat sa lahat,” he added.

The National Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid–19 has placed Bataan under Alert Level 3 from Nov. 1 to 14, 2021.

Vaccinations are going on in 29 inoculation sites in 11 towns and one city in the province.

Those who have received the first dose totaled 334,643 individuals  with 292,738 fully-vaccinated.

As of Nov. 1, those who were tested positive of Covid–19 reached 29,084 with 621 active cases after the listing of 24 new confirmed cases. Those who recovered rose to 27,296 with the addition of 48 new recoveries.

Total number of deaths was recorded at 1,167 after four new casualties were registered.
