BALER, Aurora – Travelers passing through this province, a consistent place in tourists’ bucket list for seashores and ecological tourist destinations, will only need vaccination card and a government-issued identification card, the local government ruled.
Executive Order No. 2002-005 issued by Gov. Gerardo Noveras provides that guidelines had to be amended to allow intrazonal and interzonal travels “subject to reasonable restrictions as maybe determined by LGUs (local government units) while at the same time ensure that the minimum public health standards are implemented, enforced, and complied with to protect the safety and health of everyone.”
Aurora, along with other places in Central Luzon, was placed under Alert Level 2 by virtue of National Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid-19 Resolution No. 161-A series of 2022 starting Feb. 16.
The EO said that the vaccination card, proof that a person is fully vaccinated, and the valid ID have to be presented by travelers at the provincial control points (PCPs) in Sitio Canili, San Juan and Barangay Villa, both in Maria Aurora; Barangay Calaocan in Dipaculao; and Barangay Tanauan in Dingalan.
“The LGU of destination is given the discretion to prescribe additional requirements as it may deem necessary,” it said.
The police were also urged to establish “the fastest means of communication” with the LGUs either through their respective police stations or municipal disaster risk reduction and management offices to facilitate the entry or exit of travelers.
All personnel of the provincial health office and provincial disaster risk reduction and management office have been recalled from the PCPs.
