CABANATUAN CITY – Medical frontliners in a government health facility h
ere received yet another salute from irrigation officials and cooperatives.

Engr. Rosalinda B Bote, department manager of the National Irrigation Administration-Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-UPRIIS) led Thursday, May 7,  the delivery of food packs, hygiene essentials, and protective gowns from their office and the Consumers Cooperatives of UPRIIS (CCUP) to frontliners at ELJ Hospital here.

“At this time of crisis that the Covid-19 pandemic brings to our country, NIA-UPRIIS continues to share responsibility in addressing the immediate concerns in our society,” Bote said in a statement.

The health frontliners, she said, are deemed more vulnerable to face shortage of supplies as they keep on battling the disease while taking care of the patients and helping them survive the infection.

Bote, who led the donation of 100  food packs, was accompanied by CCUP members who also contributed 100 face masks, 4 gallons of alcohol and 40 laboratory gowns.

UPRIIS serves irrigation to farms in Nueva Ecija and parts of Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac.
