Upland barangay gives food packs to villagers

MARIVELES, BataanAn upland barangay here has started distributing food packs and alcohol to alleviate the plight of villagers undergoing enhanced community quarantine due to Covid19.

Barangay Alion chair Al Balan led in the distribution of relief goods right into the residences of villagers, asking them to no longer go to the barangay hall.

Members of the sangguniang barangay and barangay tanod assisted in the distribution.

Aside from the common canned goods, noodles and rice, some donors gave dried and even fresh fish that Balan immediately shared to the villagers.

The barangay chair thanked donors Ed Silva, Mark Gamboa, Capt. Gil Villar, Dr. Hermie Villar, Kagawad Mario Magadan, Bong Fajardo, and Col. Ronald Almirol, Mariveles police chief.

“Thank you for immediately giving assistance to our barangay in this time of crisis,” Balan said.

He said that target of their distribution of relief goods are 1,150 families who are affected by the community quarantine.

The barangay, he said, is strictly implementing no passage to those without barangay quarantine pass.Please stay at home,” he asked villagers.

“Magtiis-tiis lamang po tayo at hindi magtatagal, sa tulong ng Panginoong Diyos, ay malalampasan din natin ang matinding pagsubok na ito,” Balan said.
