BALANGA CITY — The Uniteam led by presidential candidate former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., known as BBM and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte received the full backing of Bataan officials on Thursday.
Giving full support to the Uniteam were Gov. Albert Garcia, 1st District Rep. Geraldine Roman, 2nd District Rep. Jose Enrique Garcia III and most municipal and city mayors who were also wearing either red or green T-shirts
The governor and the two Bataan lawmakers raised the hands of Marcos, and senatoriables Jinggoy Estrada, Rodante Marcoleta, Wyn Gatchalian, Mark Villar and Migz Zubiri. Duterte was absent in the Bataan sojourn.
Other senatorial candidates Loren Legarda and Harry Roque left earlier after addressing the crowd.
“Bataan is Marcos country,” Gov. Albert Garcia told the huge crowd filling to the rafters the vast Bataan People’s Center at the Capitol compound in Balanga City.
“Uniteam rocks the province of Bataan. Winindang ng BBM, Sara at Uniteam ang Bataan at talagang ang buong lalawigan ay lumabas para batiin ang mga bisita lalong-lalo na ang susunod na pangulo ng Republika,” Gov. Garcia said.
The governor narrated what the late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. had done for the province.
“Ang JJ Linao Road mula sa Pilar papunta sa Bagac hanggang sa Morong at bahagi ng Mariveles ay tatak Marcos. Ang Mt. Samat na binibigyang halaga ang sakripisyo ng ating mga beterano na nagbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga frontliners ngayong pandemya ay tatak Marcos,” he said.
“Ang Bataan refugee camp kung saan kinupkop ang mga Vietnamese at na-process sila sa Bataan refugee camp na ngayon ay Morong economic zone na umuunlad na at dine-develop ay tatak Marcos,” he continued.
“Ang unang economic zone sa buong Asya, ang Bataan Export Processing zone na ngayon ay Freeport Area of Bataan na nagbibigay ng libo-libong trabaho para sa ating mga kababayan ay tatak Marcos.” the governor furthered.
Garcia said the people of Bataan will go for BBM and his team: “Kaya hindi na magtataka kung bakit ang buong Bataan ay para kay Marcos. Nakita natin ito noong 2016 at sigurado na pagdating ng Mayo ipapakita muli ang suporta sa magiging pangulo natin na si BBM.”
“Bukod sa aking mga nabanggit ay talagang tumatagos sa puso at damdamin ng bawat Bataeños ang mensahe ng BBM, Sara, Uniteam – ang pagkakaisa,” the governor said.
Congresswoman Roman who is unopposed in her third term announced her full support to the Uniteam. The crowd broke to cheers as she had a duet with the young Marcos.
