CABANATUAN CITY – Almost 400 families evacuated at Lazaro Francisco Elementary School from flooded barangays in this city benefited through SM Foundation Inc.’s Operations Tulong Express on Tuesday.
The donation was facilitated by SM City Cabanatuan and SM Megacenter management together with the city social development office.
Assistant mall manager Jay Ar Padilla said Operations Tulong Express is part of the corporate social responsibility of SM simultaneously happening all over the country together with SM Markets for those affected by the recent typhoons.
“Each Kalinga packs contains rice, noodles, cannedgoods and other essential products to help them while they just started cleaning and reconstructing their houses in Barangay Rezdelis and Isla” said Padilla.
Through these efforts, SM encouraged the community to always practice bayanihan in times of crisis and calamities. SM malls also set up donation boxes to help the Cagayan region which is suffering from massive flooding until today.
“Together let us rise as one and heal as one” Padilla added.
