MARIVELES, Bataan: A rider died when he and his motorcycle were run over by a
trailer truck that the motorcycle hit while travelling at the diversion road here
Thursday afternoon.
Lt. Col. Emelito M. Dela Cruz, Mariveles police chief, said rider Eugene Ywayan,
40, of Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles died on the spot after he was crushed by the
big tires of the truck loaded with cement.
Reports showed that the trailer truck was heading towards the direction of
Balanga City from Mariveles when the motorcycle coming from an alley in
Barangay Sisiman bumped the left portion of the big truck.
The motorcycle and the rider were run over by the truck that resulted to the
death of Ywayan. The motorcycle was crushed.
Truck driver Bernard Santos, 35, of Balanga City, who was not hurt faces a case
for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.
The chief of police warned motorists to be extra careful.
