“Ayokong i-entertain ang ganyang alternative dahil naniniwala ako na si Grace ay Pilipino at ang mga kaso ay inilalabas ng kanyang mga kalaban sa pulitika sapagka’t walang maibato laban sa kanya,” the vice-presidential candidate said when asked who his alternative among the presidential bets will be should Poe be disqualified.
He described Poe as good and capable. “Walang isyu ng korapsiyon at anomalya sa kanya,” Trillanes said.
Posters showed that Poe and Trillanes are running for president and vice-president, respectively, under the Magdalo Partylist.
Trillanes announced his preference for the Department of Interior and Local Government portfolio once elected. “Hihilingin natin ang pagiging DILG secretary sapagka’t naniniwala tayong makaka-contribute tayo to solve criminality kasama ang lumalaganap na illegal drugs,” he said.
On his low rating on surveys, he said that many voters do not know he is running for the second highest post in the country. “With the start of the campaign period on February 9, I believe in the next survey, aangat na tayo dahan-dahan,” the senator said.
After his sortie in Pampanga, Trillanes met briefly with members of Samahang Magdalo in Abucay and later visited public markets in Mariveles town and Balanga City.
