CASTILLEJOS, Zambales – A tricycle driver was riddled with bullets by two unidentified gunmen at Sitio Sibul, Barangay San Agustin here.
Police Major Joe Louis Emperial Lo, Jr., head of Castillejos Municipal Police Station in his report to Zambales Police Provincial Director, Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., identified the victim as Romeo Dela Peña y Dacanay, 46, of said barangay.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was standing at the tricycle terminal waiting for passengers when two unidentified gunmen riding in a single motorcycle called his name out and shot him in different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to San Marcelino District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Patricia Ayson.
Police are conducting investigation as to the motive of the killing and the identity of the suspects.
