SUBIC FREEPORT – All top three finishers in the female competition of the 2023 TriFactor Philippines held here Feb. 12 belong to the TriClark-Scania Triathlon Team.
Finishing first was dentist turned triathlete Rhia Stawicki, followed by restaurateur Mitch Otsuru-Park, and Raven Joy Valdez.
Records showed Stawicki combined her women’s 2nd best swim, women’s best bike split of 1:10:09, and women’s best run split of 45:42 to dominate the women’s field with a finish time of 2:22:58. Otsuru-Park was 19 minutes and 44 seconds behind with a time of 2:42:42. Valdez finished in 2:43:16.
Josh Ramos of the national team ruled the male category with a time of 2:11:25.
The team competition was also dominated by TriClark-Scania with a total cumulative finish time of 9:53:29. At second was Baguio Benguet Triathlon Team with a time of 10:05:00, and at third, Subic Bay Multisport with a time of 10:38:06.
“It all came together this weekend. The hard work from my team, GoClark, the SBMA group and our Singapore partner, Orange Room all paid off. The goal was to deliver a safe, fun and a race experience like no other. The happy faces at the finish line and the awards podium were all I needed to see,” a jubilant Jumbo Tayag, TriFactor and GoClark race, enthused.
