It’s clearer now why Garabandal, Spain visionary Conchita Gonzalez remarked, “There will only be two popes more!” after hearing about the death of Pope Paul VI in 1978. We are now on the fourth pope, Francis, after Paul. So what makes of Conchita’s remark?
The “two popes more” evidently referred to John Paul I and John Paul II. But this did not mean Benedict XVI and the present Francis were not counted as legitimate popes. Benedict was, and Francis is.
As a matter of fact, a growing number of people are beginning to regard Francis as, indeed, Petrus Romanus of St. Malachy’s prophecy.
Medjugorje visionary Ivan Dragicevic seemed to have cast light on the matter, without intending to do so.
Just recently, I came to the belief that had Conchita completed her sentence, it would have run thus: “There will be two more popes before the start of the tribulation.” The tribulation, of course, is known to those who have heard about the messages of the Blessed Virgin in Fatima, Akita, Kibeho, and also Garabandal, among other modern-day apparitions.
Last year, Ivan was reported to have confirmed that the strange weather that has been walloping various countries in our times, among other troubles mounting worldwide, is just some tip of a bigger tribulation iceberg. It would seem that this tip started to gain significance during the reign of Benedict XVI.
Dated videos of such phenomenon can be viewed in the video new compilations titled “fidockave” or ”signs of change” on youtube.com.
In short, Conchita must have foreseen that the tribulation would not start in the reign of the next two popes after Paul, but during the papacy of the third, Benedict XVI, as later on corroborated by Ivan.
If Pope Francis is indeed the last pope in St. Malachy’s list, what next?
Last weekend, I again found myself at St. Paul’s bookstore and my eyes focused on a familiar pamphlet, a copy of which I had personally given to former Pres. Cory Aquino during her visit to Mt. Arayat after her presidential term. The pamphlet was titled The Meaning of Akita.
Akita, Japan was where the Blessed Mother appeared to Sister Agnes Sasawaga in 1973. Then Bishop Ito later declared the apparitions worthy of belief.
I had bought copies of the pamphlet for distribution to friends, but I have lost my personal copy since then.
So I pondered at the bookstore and felt the urge not only to buy one, but also to again write about the warnings from Akita…. for the umpteenth time.
Among other messages of the Blessed Mother, the following message is striking: “”If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before.
Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead.
The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the Bishops and the priests.
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see Cardinals opposing Cardinals, Bishops against other Bishops. The priests who venerate Me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests).
Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
“The demon will be especially implacable against the souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of My sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them.
“…Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able to still save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in Me will be saved.”
