BALANGA CITY – Two still unidentified men on Saturday before 11:00 p.m. shot and killed a businessman few steps outside a private hospital here after the latter reportedly visited a daughter-in-law who just gave birth.
Senior Supt. Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan police director, said victim Joseph dela Cruz alias Jojo Bukol of Barangay Wawa, Abucay, Bataan sustained nine gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
Members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered 13 empty shells in the crime scene just in front of the Women’s General Hospital in Sampaguita Street, Barangay San Jose.
Insp. Dennis Orbista, police provincial information officer, said victim was about to leave the hospital going to his car when suspects suddenly shot him.
Suspects immediately fled while Dela Cruz was brought inside the hospital where doctors tried but failed to revive him.
Supt. Arnel Libid, Balanga City police chief, ordered a massive manhunt for the suspects.
