FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – Residents of an Aeta village here benefited from the medical and outreach program sponsored by three groups, including the Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies of Pampanga (ATTAP).
The ATTAP led by its president, Gilda Padua, and the Rotary Club of Paranaque East (RCPE) sponsored a civic action project in Barangay Nabuklod on Saturday in coordination with the 7th Tactical Fighter “Bulldogs” Squadron (7TFS) of the Air Defense Wing (ADW) stationed at the Basa Air Base here. The RCPE is headed by Ramil De Mesa.
At least 440 patients were given medical attention, including 140 pediatric cases while 22 received dental care treatment.
Padua said the RCPE led the giving of 250 sets of school bags and supplies to children in Nabuklod, which is now being developed as agriculture and tourism area by Gov. Lilia Pineda.
A total of 336 residents of all ages benefited from ATTAP’s PAA-lalay sa Mag-aaral (sandal-giving project).
Lt. Col. Elmer Sagadraca of Air Defense Wing and Major Augusto “Jen” Padua, commander of the Bulldogs Squadron, led the feeding program for 600 people, most of whom were children.
At least 15 persons were also given free haircut. Shampoo packs and stuffed toys were also distributed.
In addition, a variety of school books were donated by RCPE to the Nabuklod school library.
The Aeta villagers were profuse in their gratitude to their benefactors for the day.
