CLARK FREEPORT – To offer a more comprehensive cancer program, The Medical City Clark has officially opened the Julius K. Quiambao Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Center on Friday, December 10.
The JKQ Nuclear Medicine Center offers tests and procedures employing radioactive tracers or radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and treatment of benign and malignant diseases.
The launch was graced with a ribbon cutting ceremony and blessing which was led by TMC Enterprise chairman of the board Jose Xavier Gonzales, Bayambang Pangasinan Mayor Cezar Quiambao with wife Nina Jose, TMC enterprise president and CEO Dr. Eugene Ramos, TMC-Clark president and CEO Dr. Almario Jabson, Nuclear Medicine chair Dr. Eric Cruz, TMC-Clark sales and marketing director Evelyn Yumul together with Provincial Board Member Mylyn Cayabyab, Rafael Memorial Medical Center chief of hospital Dr. Froi Canlas, and CDC president Ret. PBGen. Manuel Gaerlan.
According to Jabson, the launch of the center brings TMC-Clark a step closer to the completion of its comprehensive cancer program.
“This is just one innovative way to serve our patient partners and show that TMC-Clark cares beyond boundaries especially in the cancer care area,” said Jabson.
“Tonight’s launching is a testament to TMC-Clark’s resilience and persistence going beyond and above the challenges posed by the pandemic. Its establishment is a greater push towards the fight against cancer and other various diseases,” said Cruz during his speech.
“The hospital has equipped itself with a wider array of diagnostic and treatment capabilities using nuclear energy all for the benefit of our patients within and even outside the region,” he furthered.
Apart from TMC-Clark’s existing services and centers such as the Breast Center, Liver and Pancreas Center, Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery, Chemo-Infusion Unit, Pain Clinic, Center for Integrative Medicine, and Genomics, TMC-Clark highlighted that the centers will supplement and complement the current capabilities of the health system in Central Luzon.
As it aims to become the “referral center of North and Central Luzon,” TMC-Clark maintains its value to the practice of the medical community and recovery of their patients with the future advancements.
