BALANGA CITY – Thousands met presidentiable Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. as his Uniteam stormed Bataan in a motorcade and program at the giant Bataan People’s Center in this city Thursday.
The candidates of Uniteam composed of former Senator Marcos or known as BBM and senatorial candidates Loren Legarda, Harry Roque, Mark Villar, Rodante Marcoleta, Wyn Gatchalian and Migz Zubiri started their motorcade at the Flaming Sword monument in Pilar town towards Balanga City and the Bataan capitol compound.
They were welcomed by Gov. Albert Garcia, Vice-Gov. Cris Garcia, first district Rep. Geraldine Roman, second district Rep. Jose Enrique Garcia III and incumbent and former municipal and city mayors, all in red T-shirts.
Vice-Presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and other senatoriables failed to attend the Bataan rally.
Thousands in red and green T-shirts patiently waited for the team at the Flaming Sword marker, a World War II monument in Pilar town, and along the roads to the capitol.
Marcos explained the cause of the absence of his running mate.
As in his various rallies, Marcos said that the first step for a good life is unity.
He said that the problem on expensive electric power will be attended to when he becomes President.
Napakadaming problemang hinaharap,” Marcos said.
