Sharing is good for the soul—and the sole, as exemplified in The SM Store share shoes program. Part of the continuing commitment of SM Foundation anchored on its founding principle of ‘People Helping People’ with The SM Store, more than 55,000 pairs of leather shoes were turned over to partner beneficiaries in Central Luzon.

Through the years, the Share Shoes project has collected more than 40,000 pairs of shoes which have been donated to students and families in need. For the culture of giving and purposeful sharing, The SM Store through SM Foundation Operation Tulong Express distribute more than 55,000 brand new leather Parisian shoes for children, women and plus size (with assortment in all sizes kids 30-35 and 5 to 12) to various grassroot communities through The SM Store branches in Pampanga, Clark, Tarlac and Cabanatuan.

The SM Store branches in Pampanga, San Fernando Downtown and Telabastagan, a turn-over of 24,199 pairs of shoes and more than a thousand hand sanitizers to government partners Department of Social Welfare and Development Region III represented by Sustainable Livelihood Program focal person Ferdinand Jorge Canlas with representative from The SM Store Pampanga Assistant Vice President Lei Alice Gonzales, Marketing Manager Yeng Alberto and Department Manager Vincee Mallari and Mall Manager Aaron Montenegro; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Region III (TESDA3) headed by Regional Director Balmyrson Valdez and Provincial Director Eric Ueda with The SM Store San Fernando Downtown Assistant Branch Manager Caroline Uaje and Selling Manager Joanne Bernardino; and St Isidore ‘the Farmer’ Learning Center Inc owner Engineer Romeo Cordova with The SM Store Telabastagan Selling Supervisor for Shoes Karen Carmen and RDU Manager Chiffer Canlas, respectively.

While at The SM Store Clark the turn-over of 10,960 pair of shoes and more than 500 bottles of hand sanitizers to Department of Social Welfare and Development Region III represented by Sustainable Livelihood Program focal person Ferdinand Jorge Canlas were assisted by Philippine Air Force under the command of Major Capt. Jerson Sadsad with representatives from The SM Store Clark Branch Marketing Manager Crissan Del Rosario and Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni.

The SM Store Telabastagan turn-over 4,799 pairs of shoes and hand sanitizers to St Isidore ‘the Farmer’ Learning Center Inc owner Engineer Romeo Cordova with The SM Store Telabastagan Selling Supervisor for Shoes Karen Carmen, RDU Manager Chiffer Canlas and Public Relations Manager Rain Cervantes.

At The SM Store Tarlac, Caritas Tarlac received 8,000 pair of shoes were distributed to different parishes, civic and religious organizations and catholic school in the diocese.

Over at The SM Store Cabanatuan and Megacenter, a total of 12, 695 pairs of brand new leather shoes and more than 500 bottles of hand sanitizer were turn-over to Department of Social Welfare and Development Region III represented by Sustainable Livelihood Program focal person Ferdinand Jorge Canlas.
