CABANATUAN CITY – An alleged member of Teves Terrorist Group who was listed among Negros Oriental’s most wanted persons was arrested by a composite police team in Barangay Sta. Catalina, Talugtog town, Nueva Ecija on Thursday, police said.

The suspect was identified as Richard Quadra y Namoco, 45, married and resident of Barangay Milagrosa, Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental.

Nueva Ecija police director Col. Richard Caballero said the suspect yielded one loaded .9mm pistol.

The arrest, he said, was made by teams from the Talugtog police station with various regional and provincial police and military units, including those from Region 7.

Quadra was among the group linked to dismissed Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves charged for a series of killings in 2019, police said.

A criminal complaint for violations of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Laws on Firearms and ammunitions) and the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines is now being prepared against Quadra.

“We remain vigilant in our efforts to hunt law violators and maintain the safety of our residents. This arrest is a testament to the diligence and professionalism of our personnel to put behind bars all wanted persons, especially those notorious ones”, Caballero said.
