TARLAC CITY (PIA) — In recognition of its accomplishments and contributions in the utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS), Tarlac State University (TSU) was awarded the Outstanding eNGAS System User Entity Award and the eNGAS System Inclusiveness Award.
With its strong commitment to adopting eNGAS, TSU marks its second consecutive year of receiving the same awards, after having also bagged the recognition last year.
The university’s finance team formally received the awards during the Government Financial Management Innovators Circle, Inc. 16th Annual National Convention and 2025 Membership Conference.
Representing TSU, Vice President for Administration Gherold Benitez, Finance Director John Erwin Panlilio, Office of Management and Information Systems Director Marlon Gamido, and Accounting Unit Head Ryan Ronquillo attended the awarding ceremony.
Ronquillo mentioned that TSU is one of the pioneering users of eNGAS in Central Luzon, as the university has been utilizing the system since 2005.
“The back-to-back recognition reaffirms TSU’s commitment to innovation, accountability, and leadership in advancing digital public financial management in higher education institutions,” Ronquillo said.
The university underscored the importance of adopting eNGAS to streamline accounting processes that are aligned with financial reporting and ensure the timely generation of relevant financial reports.
Along with the two eNGAS awards, the TSU Commission on Audit team also received the Outstanding eNGAS System User Audit Team Award during the event. (CLJD/AJRR, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
