Tarlac LGU, police get awards

    CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando—Tarlac Gov. Victor Areno Yap and Tarlac police provincial director Senior Supt. Alex B. Sintin as well as other police officers in the province received plaques of recognition during the 20th Police Community Relations Celebration held at PRO3 here during Monday’s flag raising ceremony.

    Yap bagged the Best Supportive Local Government Unit award for his untiring support to the Tarlac police, providing them things that are necessary in police operation such as vehicles, gasoline and even financial support.

    Sintin received an award on behalf of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office for Outstanding PPO of the Year in Police Community Relations for consistently maintaining harmonious relationship with the community.

    The Police Regional Office 3 also recognized the two police lady officers namely Supt. Amelia Garcia for Outstanding Senior PCO of the Year and Chief Inspector Jovy Arceo for Outstanding Junior PCO of the Year award. While PO2 Cherry Anne Bacallo was awarded as Outstanding PNCO of the Year in PCR.

    Yap extended his gratitude to PRO3 for the recognition which he said would inspire him more to support the police in giving service to the public.

    Sintin also thanked PRO3 for voting TPPO as Best in PCR and for recognizing their senior and junior officers as well as a junior PNCO as best in their respective category.

    Other stations recognized during the awarding were the Olongapo City Police Office, Baliwag Municipal Police Station and Cabanatuan City Police Station.
