Governor Susan Yap said that this year’s celebration will be short but full of activities.
“It will just be a four-day celebration but will be full of festivities,” Yap said.
Lined-up for the four day celebration are medical and dental mission and blood-letting scheduled on May 25 at the capitol lobby and at the Bulwagan ng mga Gubernador; free legal assistance at the Tarlac Provincial Jail and a ballroom competition at the Bulwagang Kanlahi on May 26; a variety show on May 27 at the Maria Cristina Park; a flag raising ceremony in commemoration of the National Flag Day on May 28, Gawad Parangal para sa Modelong Tarlaqueño and Natatanging Tarlaqueño and a boxing tournament.
“This celebration will be simple as we have a festive celebration already last March 3 to 11 during the second KanLAHI [Kanlungan ng Lahi] Festival,” the governor said adding that there will also be national figures that will be coming over during the duration of the anniversary.
Famous celebrities from the television and movie world such as the Ex Battalion, Shanti Dope, Ronnie Almonte, Karl Gabriel, Markus Paterson, Henz Villaraiz, Patty Mendoza, Leila Alcasid, Zonia Mejia, YasminSuarez, Charlie Dizon, Tony Labrusca, Anna Luna and many more will grace the variety show.@
