SUBIC, Zambales – Police arrested a deputy chief tanod after killing a man at Sitio Tahimik, Mercurio St., in Barangay Calapacuan of this town Monday evening.
Chief Inspector Arnel Dial identified the suspect as Wilfredo Carreon, 46 and resident of Sitio Tahimik, Barangay Calapacuan.
Report said suspect was arrested after killing the victim Rolly Sumido, 47, native of Paniklan, Barangay Inhobol, Masinloc, Zambales.
Victim suffered four gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and died on the spot.
Investigation conducted by PO3 Jun Dela Cruz said victim was walking on his way home after visiting a wake of his neighbor when the suspect came from unknown direction and shot victim.
Report said Carreon was also the suspect in the killing of Renato Lopez, 36, tricycle driver and resident of No. 4, 5th St., Barangay New Kababae, Olongapo City last December 28, 2010.
