BALANGA CITY — An SUV hit nine other vehicles parked in front of the Greenwich branch at the Capitol Drive here when it allegedly made an unintended acceleration while turning right Tuesday afternoon.
Lt. Col. Dennis Orbista, Balanga police chief, said initial report showed that the SUV driven by Reynaldo Paguio, 57, of Pilar, Bataan, lost control and bumped an E-bike, two tricycles and six motorcycles, two of which were Greenwich delivery vehicles.
Paguio was with his wife and a teenaged daughter who was slightly hurt. Also slightly hurt and attended to by city medics were the woman E-bike rider and the rider of one motorcycle.
The front portion of Paguio’s new SUV was damaged but he and his wife were not hurt. He begged not to be interviewed as well as the affected riders and some Greenwich employees who said they felt nervous.
The SUV hit the steel railing of Greenwich but it prevented the vehicle from smashing the glass walls of the fast food.
“Paliko ang SUV, nagpreno parang gasolina natapakan, natamaan single motor, tricycle,” parking attendant Reynaldo Flores said.
Orbista said investigation was still going on to determine the cause of the accident and the extent of damage on the motorcycles and tricycles.
