Suspected notorious drug pusher falls

    MARIVELES, Bataan – Police on Wednesday reported the arrest of a suspected notorious drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in barangay Ipag, Mariveles, Bataan and confiscated from his possession marijuana leaves and shabu in plastic sachets.

    Senior Supt. Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan police director, said Rusty Ambrocio, 23, of Ipag, was apprehended at about 4:30 in the afternoon in Ipag in the act of selling illegal drugs with a police-poseur-buyer.

    PO2 Amador Rosales, Mariveles police case officer, said seized from the possession of suspect were four plastic sachets of marijuana leaves and two heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu placed inside an empty case of playing cards.

    Tests conducted at the Bataan Crime Laboratory in Balanga City showed that the items were marijuana leaves and shabu.

    Police said the suspect was also wanted for theft, and allegedly a member of the “Akyat Bahay” gang in the village.

    Ambrocio was set for inquest at the Provincial Prosecutor’s office for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act.

    Suspect, however, denied any involvement in any illegal drug trade.
