DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — A super rural health unit was among three health centers inaugurated here Friday, September 1, despite the heavy rains, turning to six the total number of RHUs operational in this town of 46 barangays.
The super RHU is located in Barangay Roosevelt while the two regular RHUs are in Barangays Jose Payumo and Tucop.
Super RHU is described as a medium-type polyclinic bigger than an RHU and smaller than a hospital. The local government unit can expand its medical services.
Dr. Jay N. Reboroso, rural health physician, said the new Roosevelt RHU is the biggest and main health center in Dinalupihan that has an existing laboratory, X-ray, lying-in and pharmacy that once accredited and fully operational can serve one-half of the town.
Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia 3rd said Dinalupihan was blessed with new facilities that will be of big assistance to serving the medical needs of villagers.
Herman Santos is mayor of Dinalupihan while Rep. Maria Angela Garcia is congresswoman of the 3rd district where Dinalupihan belongs.
The governor and sister Congresswoman Garcia gave special thanks to Senator Bong Go “para sa kanyang walang patid na pagtulong sa ating lalawigan.”
The lady solon compared the blessings received by Dinalupihan with the heavy rains. “It is raining cats and dogs like the blessings we have that when it rains, it pours.”
She said that the super RHU and the other RHUs are gifts from the Department of Health through the funding of Senator Go.
Garcia furthered.
