Quezon City, Philippines – Process safety, risk management and environmental stewardship through trainings were among the agenda of consultative meeting between Saltegra Consulting and the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. (PCAPI) held last August 20, 2022.

With the growth of industries with chemical processing, compliance to process safety regulations and managing resources for sustainability initiatives have been evident in
supporting the institutionalizing pollution prevention and continual improvement. “We are honored and excited to be part of the training program of PCAPI as resource, as we
believe that things that we do for process safety goes hand in hand with environmental safety,” said Michael Saura, president and CEO of Saltegra Consulting. “And beyond the knowledge transfer, we see the viability of partnership and alignment of purpose in contributing to business continuity and environmental sustainability,” added Saura.

For Jeremiah Sebastian, Vice President for External Affairs of PCAPI, keeping abreast with the latest industry trends and best practices in process safety enables business
owners and stakeholders to become stewards of the environment, and training is one ofmost effective means. “Accountability to the employees’ safety and the responsibility of preserving and maintaining a healthful environment should be co-owned by the management and the officers,“ said Sebastian. “The partnership with Saltegra will strengthen our thrust of capacitating the pollution control officers through training, as we share with our members the technical points of views of the relationship between process safety, good governance and sustainability. These partnerships are welcome as part of our efforts in providing retooling and equipping training programs to our thousands of members nationwide,” added Sebastian.
