STA. ANA, Pampanga – “E tana mag-adwang isip. Dinan Labung ing solusyun king kailangan da deng memalen Santa Ana. Eya big deal ing eya man mibait king balen Santa Ana. Importanti, maragul ya pangarap para king balen Santa Ana.”
The very name translates to the very solution to the needs of the people of Sta. Ana. So articulated a netizen in a comment on the livestream of the Balitaan at Talakayan forum of the Central Luzon Media Association-Pampanga Chapter on Jan. 30 held in Barangay San Roque here.
That mayoralty aspirant Ferdinand “Dinan” Labung is derided by his rivals as “imported” – meaning, not native-born to the town – is “no big deal” an issue; obliterated as it is by the clearness and the vastness of his vision for his Sta. Ana constituency. Notably, the establishment of a municipality-run Sta. Ana Community Hospital and the Sta. Ana Campus of the Don Honorio Ventura State University to be sited in an over two hectare-lot already purchased by Labung.
A civil and sanitary engineer by profession, and the proprietor of a respected and successful AAA construction company, Labung has all it takes to address the infrastructure and health needs, as well as sound fiscal management of the municipality.
His long years in public service, from barangay chairman to multi-term provincial board member – full manifest of his man-of-the-masses persona – augur well for a people-centered praxis of local governance.
Dinan tapung pansin ing daratang a election na samasnan tang mamili kareng ilukluk tamu bang lumabung ya ing balen Sta. Ana. Succinct is the comment of another netizen.
