SSS serves show cause orders to delinquent employers

IBA, Zambales — The Social Security System has issued show cause orders to six delinquent employers in Zambales under its “Run After Contribution Evaders” (RACE) campaign in the province on Dec. 6.

Ihreen Grace Sagaoinit, SSS-Iba acting branch head, issued the orders to the employers with a total of 15 employees.


Report from January to December 6, 2024 showed SSS-Iba which covers eight town from San Felipe to Sta. Cruz, collected P722, 818.32 from delinquent employers in the Zambales as part of the RACE campaign. 


Among the 94 employers in its coverage, 23 have fully paid their obligations, six availed themselves of the partial or installment option, six were referred to the legal department, four face court cases, and 18 await compliance with one complied to production of record.


Launched in 2017, the RACE campaign is an SSS program to encourage employers to settle their contribution delinquencies and ensure the protection of its members.


The SSS aims to raise awareness and discipline among employers about their statutory obligations and also help employers pay their outstanding contributions.


Employers who fail to remit contributions may face civil and criminal liabilities.


The SSS RACE Team has given delinquent establishments 15 days to comply with their obligations.
