SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan–The Social Security System (SSS) called the attention of delinquent employers from various sectors during the Run After Contributions Evaders (RACE) Campaign last July 13.

SSS Luzon Central 2 Division Vice President Gloria Corazon M. Andrada said that the seven employers violated the provisions of the Social Security Act of 2018 or R.A. 11199 by failing to remit their employees’ Social Security (SS) and Employee’s Compensation (EC) contributions and penalties amounting to P8.4 million.

“SSS is well aware of the pandemic’s significant impact on most business operations, which led to the temporary closures and financial set-backs. We are not here to agitate these employers, but rather assist them in the settlement of their past-due contributions through the availment of the Enhanced Installment Payment Program or PRRP 3,” Andrada said.

The Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program (PRRP 3) or Enhanced Installment Payment Program provides flexible payment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the total amount of delinquency. This program will run until November 22, 2022.

Qualified employers who wish to avail the program are advised to coordinate with their assigned Account Officers in their servicing branch.

Andrada added that SSS and employers should work together to provide social security protection to its workers through timely remittance of their SS and EC contributions.

“Employers, in return, should provide adequate safety nets to their workers who remained dedicated to their jobs. We would also like to remind our employed members to be vigilant in checking their contribution and loan records through the My.SSS Portal and report to us should there be any discrepancies,” Andrada concluded.
