OLONGAPO, Zambales – The Social Security System (SSS) visited seven delinquent employers during the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) Campaign last July 29.

The employers’ total delinquency amounting to P3.1 million affected the SSS benefits and privileges of 125 employees.

“We are conducting a series of RACE operations this year following SSS PCEO Michael G. Regino’s directive. This is our eighth operation in Luzon Central 2 Division and the first time for SSS Olongapo to lead the operation since the RACE was launched in 2017. Our main goal is to remind delinquent employers of their legal obligations to SSS and offer a relief program that would help them ease their financial burden,” Luzon Central 2 Division Vice President Gloria Corazon M. Andrada said.

The SSS RACE Team served written orders instructing them to settle their outstanding contribution delinquency with an option to avail of the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program (PRRP 3).

The PRRP 3 or Enhanced Installment Payment Program allows qualified employers to settle their past-due Social Security (SS) and Employee’s Compensation (EC) contributions through longer installment terms ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the total amount of delinquency. This program will run until November 21, 2022.

Andrada added that the employers visited during the RACE campaign were very receptive, explaining their side of the reason for the delinquencies and promised to coordinate with the SSS Olongapo Branch within 15 days from receipt of the order for settlement.

“This is to remind our employee-members to be vigilant by checking their contribution and loan records through their My.SSS accounts. For unposted loan amortizations and contribution payments, please call the attention of your employer representative to reconcile your records immediately. In case they failed to do so, you may file a formal complaint to the SSS branch that has the jurisdiction to your employer. Rest assured that our Accounts Officer will be handling your case,” Andrada concluded.
