ANGELES CITY – More consumer-friendly innovations from the leading wireless services provider in the country.
Prepaid subscribers of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) can avail of ULOAD – a kind of sachet prepaid load available from any load seller, which does not expire and may be used for services beyond just airtime for a mobile phone, e.g., broadband connection and digital TV subscription, said the Manny Pangilinan-led company in a statement.
“With ULOAD, subscribers can load themselves or others with regular airtime, SMS/Voice ‘bucket’ packages like Alltxt 20, Smartalk, Lahatxt 35, All Calls 20 and other Smart Buddy packages, wherever they are and whenever they like. They can transfer non-expiry load from their own ULOAD to another subscriber’s ULOAD,” Smart added.
This non-expiry, ‘universal’ load may also be used to conveniently pay for other services offered by companies within the PLDT group, such as Smart Bro and Cignal, it said.
Since ULOAD is non-expiry, users can use it up at their preferred time without any pressures on the expiration of the load – providing subscribers complete flexibility and control of their load usage.
“Smart subscribers can use up only what they need and the rest they can store in their load wallet and convert when they need it. Since load does not expire until it is converted, subscribers don’t need to worry they would lack the resources when they need it. This also comes handy when they want to help friends and family who have urgent need for load,” said Danilo Mojica, head of Smart’s Wireless Consumer Division.
To avail of ULOAD, just text ULOAD and send to 7532, for free. Subscribers’ Smart Menu will automatically be updated with ULOAD. They can then load ULOAD thru any of Smart’s network of over one million load retailers. Retailers will sell the following denominations: P30, P50, P100, P150, P300 and P500.
“There is no maximum amount for loading, so subscribers can ULOAD as much as they can,” Mojica said.
After topping up their ULOAD, subscribers can convert their non-expiry load to airtime or register to any SMS or Voice packages thru a quick-browse ULOAD menu, at their convenience. Subscribers no longer need to remember any keywords to get a call/text offer, and they will also receive an SMS confirmation for every transaction made.
Another useful feature is ULOAD Transfer, which allows users to transfer any amount of their non-expiry load to another subscriber’s ULOAD. This provides flexibility since any amount above P1 may be transferred, e.g., Php9.95 or P110.50, thru the quick browse ULOAD menu.
Innovations like ULOAD have allowed Smart to maintain its market leadership which stands now at 45.3 million mobile subscribers as of end-June 2010.
Moreover, the telco leader provides cellular and broadband coverage to 1,629 cities and municipalities in the country, and Smart prepaid subscribers in all these areas enjoy high-quality mobile and broadband services such as voice, SMS, wireless Internet, mobile banking, financial services, info-on-demand, and other value-added services, at affordable costs.
