The SM Super Spelling Bee 2025 was held last Saturday, September 6, at the Event Center of SM City Bataan, gathering young spelling enthusiasts from various schools across the province.
Axel M. Buenaventura of Balanga Elementary School emerged as the champion after correctly spelling the word “Stubble” during the final round of the competition.
As part of his victory, Axel received a ₱10,000 gift certificate from SM and another ₱10,000 gift certificate from National Bookstore.
Meanwhile, Axel will be representing SM City Bataan in the upcoming National Finals of the #SMSuperSpellingBee2025 on October 4, 2025 at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. At stake are prizes worth ₱3 million, including college scholarships from National University, gadgets from SM Cyberzone and Power Mac Center, and school supplies from National Bookstore.
