SM once again demonstrated its leadership in driving local economic growth as it emerged as one of the most highly awarded companies at the 6th Invest Balanga Annual Kahanga-Hanga Awards. Hosted by the City Government of Balanga, the annual event recognizes top-performing investors and enterprises that contribute significantly to the city’s development.
SM and its partner establishments, all operating within SM City Bataan, dominated the awards across all business categories—highlighting their collective impact on Balanga’s thriving commercial landscape.
Shopping Center Management Corporation (SCMC), particularly SM City Bataan, was awarded Top 1 in Highest Gross Sales for the Micro Business Category, with fellow SM tenants Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, CLN, and Pepper Lunch also named as finalists.
In the Small Business Category, Watsons secured the top spot, joined by other SM-based finalists such as Kenny Rogers, Botejyu, and Conti’s.
For the Medium Business Category, Jollibee SM City Bataan earned the highest recognition for gross sales, with The Beanery and Executive Optical—both located at SM City Bataan—also receiving finalist honors.
In the Large Business Category, SM Supermarket was declared Top 5 in Highest Gross Sales.
Additionally, SM Prime Holdings Inc. was honored as the Top Real Property Taxpayer and Top 5 in Highest Gross Sales for Large Business, while affiliate SM Supermarket received the Top Employer Award.
