The said activity aims to encourage teachers, students with their parents and the community to be involved in the “Bayanihan Para sa Paaralan (Working Together for the School)”. This also brings us a picture of people from diff erent sectors of society repainting walls and blackboards, cleaning classrooms, or repairing fences and school facilities that symbolizes the spirit of volunteerism and partnership to contribute in improving and ensuring that our school facilities are ready for the school opening in June and to recognize the goodwill of the stakeholders.
An opening remarks from Ms. Charlene Michelle Chua, SM City Tarlac Mall Assistant Manager commenced the event followed by a message of gratitude from Mr. Rodelio D. Quiambao, Head Teacher I at Sto. Cristo Integrated School. SM City Tarlac officials also turned over toilet bowls and other cleaning materials to the school.
SM City Tarlac’s Brigada Eskwela team of volunteers included the Operations, Human Resources, Customer Relations, Engineering, Food, Accounting and Public Relations Department and its affiliated agencies.
This endeavor aimed to be part of the inspiration to all students of Sto. Cristo Integrated School to look forward to a safe, exciting and fresh school year. SM Cares and SM City Tarlac joined hands to be part of this year’s Brigada Eskwela to show that SM really cares for the education of the future generation.
