BALANGA City: SM City Bataan participated in the Brigada Eskwela at a public elementary school in Barangay Tenejero here on Wednesday, August 9.
Paula Erika Gayeta, SM City Bataan public relations officer, said dedicated employees and security and clean master personnel undertook a comprehensive transformation of the learning environment of the Tenejero Elementary School.
The undertakings were done ahead of the scheduled annual Brigada Eskwela this year that runs from August 14 to 19.
“SM City Bataan have once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to education and community development through its participation in the annual Brigada Eskwela initiative. In collaboration with local educational institutions, SM City Bataan have embarked on a remarkable endeavor to refurbish and revitalize schools within its respective areas,” Gayeta said.
Classroom walls were repainted and refurbished, the surroundings tidied up to create a vibrant and conducive atmosphere for school children. The initiative, she said, aimed to inspire and motivate young minds by providing them with an engaging educational space.
“These initiatives are a testament to SM’s dedication to education and its firm belief in the power of volunteerism. By engaging the employees in community service, SM City Bataan strive to nurture a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility among the team members,” Gayeta said.
Brigada Eskwela, she added, serves as a platform for collaboration between SM City Bataan and educational institutions, allowing them to work hand in hand to create a positive impact on the lives of students.
“Through these projects, SM aims to contribute to the holistic development of the community and empower the future generation,” the public relations officer concluded. (30)
