CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Five towns in Zambales, including its capital Iba, are slated to experience power outage lasting 10 hours tomorrow, Feb. 12.
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) spokesperson Lorenz Ernest Vidal said that apart from Iba,the other towns to be affected are Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria and Sta.Cruz.
Power outage would last from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Vidal said these areas areserved by the Zambales I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Zameco I).
“The power outage is to facilitate annual preventive maintenance of 50MVA transformer at Botolan Substation simultaneous with transmission line works along Botolan- Candelaria 69kVline Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion,” he said.
Vidal advised affected folk and the “general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption.”
