SUBIC, Zambales – In line with the PNP BARANGAYanihan Project, the Zambales Police Provincial Office conducted simultaneous “Kaligkasan Coastal Clean-Up Drive” in the coastal towns of this province Saturday.
The cleanup started from Subic going through San Antonio, San Narciso, San Felipe, Cabangan, Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Masinloc, Candelaria, and up to Sta Cruz.
Held along the seashore of Barangays Matain and Calapandayan, the Subic leg of the activity was led by acting police chief Major San Juan Felmar D. Aquino.

The activity aims to promote waste reduction and create public awareness on waste management and environmental concerns as well as to improve outdoor recreational activities of the community which is in line with the PNP’s BARANGAYanihan project.
Joining the cleanup drive were the Kaligkasan Warriors/Volunteers and other Advocacy Group-Force Multipliers, OFW Family Circle and Barangay Council of Matain.
“We keep on finding ways and means to protect and serve our environment and this is one way of extending the bayanihan spirit, our “BARANGAYanihan” to work with the local civic groups to identify and eliminate eyesores, and beautify the local environment. Moreover, the PNP will ensure the safety of everyone because this is our way of saying “we care for each and everyone,” the Zambales police office said.
